Med School Activities Builder
Draft every experience, within the limits.
No patient information. When you write about clinical work, never include a patient's name, initials, date of birth, room or record number, or any detail that could identify them. Your drafts stay in this browser and are never sent to MedRise.
AMCAS shows your entries in chronological order and you cannot rearrange them there; the order here is only for drafting.
No experiences yet. Add your first one, or load the fictional example to see how a finished list looks.
Your experiences
Add experiences on the first tab to see your hours and a readiness check.
Hours by experience type
Use this to see balance, not to chase a number. Schools look at what you did and learned, and many publish their own expectations for clinical and service experience; check each school's website.
Readiness check
Everything here must be fixed or confirmed before you copy your entries into the application.
Entry by entry
Swipe the table sideways to see every column.
| Experience | Type | Hours | Description | Most Meaningful | Writing notes |

Personal statement draft
Answer why you want to become a physician, in your own words. Paste from your document or write here; it saves as you type.
Export
The text export lists every field in order, ready to paste into the application one box at a time or to share with your advisor. The CSV opens in Excel, Numbers and Google Sheets.
Character limits
Preset to the limits most advising offices list for the AMCAS application: 15 experiences, 700 characters per description, up to 3 Most Meaningful with 1,325 more characters each, and 5,300 for the personal statement. Check the current application instructions each cycle and change them here if they differ.
Back up, move or clear
Everything you enter is kept only in this browser's local storage on this device. Nothing is sent to MedRise. Download a backup before you clear your browser or switch computers. Clear my data deletes it from this browser.
Education and workflow support only. This builder counts characters and gives general writing suggestions from simple rules; it does not write for you, does not judge your chances and is not admissions advice. Check every limit and instruction against the current official application guide and each school's requirements.
