Clinic SOP Builder
Write the SOP once. Everyone knows who does what.
No patient information. An SOP describes how work is done, not who it was done for. Never enter patient names, record numbers, dates of birth, room numbers or event details. Use roles such as "front desk" or "medical assistant". Your data stays in this browser and is never sent to MedRise.

| SOP | Area | Status | Next review | Review |
|---|
1. Details
Your organization sets how often each SOP is reviewed. Pick the interval your policy requires.
2. Roles
List the roles that do, own, advise on or need to hear about this process. Use roles, not people's names, so the SOP survives staff changes.
No roles yet. Add each role involved, for example front desk, medical assistant, nurse, provider and practice manager.
3. Steps
Write the steps in order, the way the work is really done. Start each one with a verb.
No steps yet. Add the first step, or start from a fictional example in the library above.
4. RACI chart
R Responsible: does the work. A Accountable: owns the outcome and signs off; one per step. A/R owns it and does it. C Consulted: asked before or during. I Informed: told after.
Add roles and steps first. The chart fills in as you go.
5. Process flow
A swim-lane map: one lane per role that does the work (R or A/R). A step done by two roles appears in both lanes, joined by a dashed line.
The flow appears once a step has a Responsible role.
6. Exceptions and metrics
Exceptions: "usually we do X, but sometimes Y"
No exceptions yet. The exceptions are often the most useful part of an SOP.
Metrics: how you will know it works
No metrics yet.
7. Document and export
The finished SOP, ready for the binder or your shared drive. Print it or save it as a PDF from the print dialog.
Your data
Everything is stored only in this browser. Back up to move your library to another device or keep a copy.
Workflow support only. Clinic SOP Builder helps you write down how your own team does its work. It does not give clinical advice, does not decide what your policies must say, and does not guarantee that an SOP meets any accreditation, payer or regulatory requirement. Have SOPs approved through your organization's usual process. The examples are fictional starting points. Not for patient information. See the terms and disclaimer and privacy notice.
